Marvelous City deals with the representation of various reality forms which
are influenced by our contemporary society.
Do we seriously question and work towards our dreamlike concepts and
expectations, or are we at risk to get lost within them, without ever ful filling
our needs?
In this video we explore the inner connection of points in time
throughout our minds, physical space and the digital world, using 3D Scans of
the band WOMAN and VHS recordings of our city.
Our work tries to express the important moment in which we dare to
transform from our state, and start to embody our own concept of reality
beyond the temporary position and perception.
Dmitry Zakharov and Jake Harrison Meyer are a creative duo from Cologne.
In their work they are trying to make reality more visible, fluid and
transformable.

Bashir's Dream centers around Qusai Bashir Masaama, a 14-year-old Syrian refugee in Jordan who was shot in the back by a sniper while on a candy run. As a result, Qusai is confined to a wheelchair, with dreams of playing basketball and traveling abroad for better care and education.

Throughout his illustrious career, Catalan sculptor Joan Gardy-Artigas has worked alongside some of the leading artists of the twentieth century, from Picasso and Miró to Giacometti and Chagall. The son of artist Josep Llorens Artigas, Artigas junior began assisting Miró—a collaborator of his father's on a number of projects, including a famous series of tiled walls. The artist has since made a career with his own ceramic and painting practice, creating stylized sculptures of human and animal forms.
